5 out of 5 stars I love this bike!   July 19, 2008
Set up in 30 mins or so. This bike is so quiet compared to my last one. I agree that the seat is hard but am dealing with it. Love the calorie/distance/mph ftr. Easy to set to just one or leave on scan. Have been using for a month now and have moved from setting 5 to 6. Looking forward to getting up to 8! I recommend if you are looking for a low-cost dependable exercise bike.

4 out of 5 stars Great for the money   July 18, 2008
Great for the money. Nice little bike to get your heart rate up and keep it there. It doesn't really fold away that much but the bike is small enough anyway. Strong and safe. My only problem with it is the handle bars. They don't seem like they can take a lot of weight so don't put your weight on them. It's better to sit up straight anyway.

1 out of 5 stars Terrible product   July 17, 2008

I was given this bike as a gift from my children. The computer did not work. I called the company on the shipping label. After two weeks of phone calls I was sent a new computer. It still did not work. I called again and was sent another computer. Then I was sent a new bike. None of these computers work. I contacted the company. In order to get a refund I need to return the bike and they will deduct the shipping charge - $42 for a product that doesn't work!.

I think this is a terrible product and the reviews are inaccurate and misleading. The 'gift' has been a headache for me and a dissapointment for my children; I strongly discourage anyone from purchasing it. If you want a bike that doesn't keep track of speed or time or distance this one is fine but it is far too expensive for that type of bike.

5 out of 5 stars A GREAT BIKE FOR THE PRICE!   July 16, 2008
this is a great small excercise bike!

i am looking for a exercise machine that allows me to work on everyday.
clearly treadmill is not the choice because i do not want to make such big noise to my neighbor. so my thought comes to exercise bike.
searching for a while in amazon and i found out this bike.
and i decide to buy it for just two reasons:
1. high rating
2. cheap for the price

ordered last week and arrived today (7/16/2008).
it's quite heavy when it comes in (reasonable for an exercise machine).
spent about an hour putting it together by myself, alone.

after trying for a 15 mins, it feels just great!

pros (mostly are what most amazon reviewers said):
1. ultra quiet. (my old computer makes more noise than it)
2. 8 lvls of tension, which 4-5 tension is quite enough for me.
3. takes up a very small amount of space, easy to move from one room to another (there's two wheels on the back that allows you to pull it w/o energy)

cons:
the "calories" counter doesn't seem to work well. it goes up in the same rate with tension 1 and tension 8 (which normally tension 8 should take up a lot more calories than tension 1). but other than this the monitor works fine (timer, distance, speed works really well).

and.... that's about it.
great bike for the price, definately worth the cost!!
i am glad i bought it.

5 out of 5 stars So far, it's great!   June 21, 2008
After reading the other reviews posted here, I ordered this bike on 6/18 and received it on 6/20 (today!). Put it together easily in 1/2 hour, and put the first 2 miles on it - at level 8 - in another 10 minutes. I was looking for an indoor cycle I can use after I have surgery which will prevent me from cycling outside for a few months. Also wanted something to ride in the winter when it's too cold and snowy outside. I can not only ride this bike as fast or as slow as I like, but I'll be able to hold a book or watch a movie and still be cyclin'! Level 8 is perfect, with just enough resistance to make me work at it. I can pedal my little heart out and work up a sweat or take it easy and still feel it. I found the seat to be well padded and comfortable. Not for the hard-core cyclist, but for someone just starting out - or with a need like mine - it's a nice unit.
