I ordered this bike as a 50th birthday present to myself. I was looking for a name brand that would be easy to use. Some of the name brands available online were unfamiliar to me and I figured that Schwin had been around for a long time, so they should know what they are doing. The bike arrived in a box that had been pretty beat up. When I unpacked the box, a rear stabilizer was damamged in shipping. I was able to still put the bike together with the damaged item. I notified Schwin about the broden part and they immediately replaced it with no questions aksed. The bike went together without too much difficulty and I use it now every single day. It doesnt take up much room which is nice and it has rollers which make it easy to roll out of the way. The seat is comfortable, but could be slightly bigger. The LED screen gives great second by second updated info on your workout. The screen could be slightly larger also. Overall I think the 101 is a great bike for the price. I could have gotten much less bike for the same money, or spent more to get the same features. I would reccomend this bike to friend or family.

i was hesitant to order this bike due to previous reviews on how it was delivered, but i took a chance and everything was fine. i love the bike, it has good resistance and is very quiet.

This bike is compact and a great deal as mentioned in the other reviews. It works for taller people (my husband and I are both over 6 feet) just fine, but is a little strained when trying to do a standing biking workout-- great if you remain sitting the whole time. Manual and programs work great and it is lightweight to move in and out of it's storage spot by the wall to its use spot in the middle of the room. Be sure you have a plug nearby for it is a short cord, or get an extension cord.

I was actually surprised at how much this bike exceeded my expectations. It's more than quiet, it's SILENT. Very good resistance settings and even a nice variety of programs. The bike is sturdy and easy to put together. It's compact and doesn't take up a lot of room and the seat is also quite comfortable. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. For those concerned about the shipping issues that were raised, my box had a dent or two, but the contents were fine and there were no missing parts.
Weight capacity is 275 pounds, not 300! April 7, 2007

This is a nice exercise bicycle that is very sturdy and super quiet. My complaints are the bike comes very poorly packaged and my rear stabilizer bar was shattered and I had to order a replacement. Also, you can not adjust the resistance levels when using one of the 6 preset programs.
Overall, this is a great bicycle and I'm very pleased with it.
