 Miracle work-out for your muscles! August 11, 2008

When I saw the paid ad on TV selling these DVD's I was skeptical and was certainly not interested in paying the price on the TV ad, so I decided to order this Kick Start set of DVD's through amazon.com and WOW! I was a dancer for 12 years and have always been looking for the opportunity to get my dancer body back, I have found the solution in Core Rythms! These ladies are great and will make you laugh with their enthusiasm and accents they try so hard to cover up! All of the different views you can look at during your work-out to make sure you are doing the moves correctly is really helpful and within moments you are sweating up a storm! I love it, I love how muscles are sore the next day like I have done a rigorous circuit training work-out at the gym, but have actually got an amazing work-out right in my own living room. There is no floor work (which is great for those who have a small living room) and it truly does give an excellent work-out. Just get it and stick with it! It's certainly not the easiest work out but I guarantee you will be impressed by how benefical your results are when you're done!

I have had only a beginner's level of dance in my past. I have really enjoyed Core Rhythms workout. I do wish that there was also one step in-between the "Kick Start" video and to "Full and Quick Workouts." I like the intructions that you can go to on the workouts, but I don't like that I have to interupt my workout to get the instructions. It would have been nice if there was a type of "intermediate" video.
I had never heard of Core Rhythms before I bought it from Amazon. I was simply looking for "dance workouts" on Amazon and came across it that way. Amazon sells the starter package for $40 which I was pleased with. At the time I bought it, the website was advertising the starter package and 4 more DVDs for $120.00. Two weeks after I bought it, I came across the infomercial and they were selling all 8 DVDs for $60.00 and the website is now at that price as well. Also you cannot but the extra items separately so now the only way for me to get it is to sell what I have on E-Bay and buy it from the website or infomercial.

This workout video is pretty good. The workout isn't too intense, but I do work up a sweat. I like the different views that you can use. All in all I like it.

i've been working out with core rhythms for about 2 weeks now. i'm not really much of a dancer to begin with, and i found the beginner disc helpful and engaging. as for the other workouts, i found them hard to follow. the instructors seem to forget that we are not all PROFESSIONAL dancers. the sequences went from fast to faster with little or no explanation. don't get me wrong, it's a fun workout and i work up a sweat too;i even managed to lose a couple of pounds. i just find it frustrating and end up getting lost.

The introduction DVD is quite simple and I certainly thought I was prepared for the beginner DVD. Wrong. It's very complicated. You have to be tremendously coordinated to follow the very fast steps with lots of body parts moving in different directions. Plus, the instructors are not very engaging or fun to watch. The basic moves, though, are great. I use those in other exercises. I say learn the basics from the web site and skip this purchase.
