this balance trainer is perfect. it's a very nice, thick plastic just like the ones you see at the gym. so many exercises to do!

This product delivers decent value for the price. However, GoFit has a similar products that comes with a DVD that includes training programs and exercises that feature the stability disc. I train alot at home and I have found that most of GoFit's products come with an instructional DVD. This is a big help for beginners and experienced exercisers and a tremendous value.

This is the same as the ones I used at the physio gym @ hospital. Works like it should (not rocket science!!), light, easy to carry if needed. I use it for balance, strengthening excerises.

I purchased the core balance trainer to allow my SI joints to have movement while sitting since I suffer from a deviated sacrum. When my sacrum is in pain, I sit on the disc and it allows my body to have movement from hip to hip and I don't have to just squeeze my buttocks and abdomen constantly. I sit on it when I drive but it does elevate me, whereas, my head is very close to the roof of the car and the rear view mirror really isn't at a good place but it does allow movement when my pelvis needs to release and have movement.

I purchased two of these after having left a gym where they were available for use. They're absolutely fantastic! I like to do squats with them, although they can be used for other exercises including lunges. When used regularly, you will notice a difference within a couple weeks! It's amazing how adding a little balance component to your regular routine will improve your tone.
These are especially great for toning the back of your thighs, right below the buttocks where fat loves to go. But since you're also balancing yourself, they also work your core area, so you'll see and feel a difference in your "lower" abs as well!
They're well worth the money, and very easy to store. The only reason I didn't rate them at 5 stars is because I have not compared Harbinger's to another brand of balancing disks.
