Great Purchase!! September 3, 2008 I bought this to work out while I watch TV. Although it isn't the hardest workout, it still keeps me moving when I would be sitting.
Excellent August 31, 2008 The Edge was exactly what I was looking for. I get a great cardio plus leg workout. It was simple to put together and quiet when your on it. The only negative I have is, your feet move on the pedals. You should consider installing a foot strap (velcro'd at the top) to accommodate all sizes. Overall rating SUPERB.
Gazelle Edge August 27, 2008 This machine is very nice. My wife and i use it all the time.Seems to be pretty much as promised. Shipping carton was severely damaged in transit.None of the parts were damaged or missing. Other than that, we are satisfied with the performance
Good for Beginners/Non-exercisers August 16, 2008 I borrowed this product from a family member and I am glad I didn't go out and buy one first. This machine would be acceptable for in between workouts of intense aerobic activity days. I worked out on it for 30 minutes (2.25 miles) and I didn't even break a sweat and my heart rate didn't even increase. I thought it was a glorified treadmill, because it's very easy on the joints. I did have a problem with my toes feeling a little numb after 20 minutes and I needed to adjust my feet every so often to make sure they were in the middle. I was a little disappointed I am used to getting a good aerobic workout (i.e, step aerobics, elliptical, etc).
Great machine for basic aerobic workout August 4, 2008 I purchased the Gazelle about a year and a half ago, and I love it. It's a great piece of equipment for the price. I have no clue what some of the other reviewers were talking about when they commented that it did not make you break a sweat. I've been exercising for the better part of the last 15 years, so I'm far from a beginner when it comes to working out. I never fail to break a sweat and get my heart rate up when using the Gazelle. Perhaps these people are used to treadmills that do the work for you. Yes, you actually have to push yourself to move fast and get your momentum going (imagine that?!). It does takes using it a few times to get the rhythm right, but it works great. My husband has started using it as well, and he loves it, too. My only complaint is that the "joints" start to squeak after a few months, so keep a can of WD-40 handy.
If you're looking for a low-priced piece of equipment that's going to give you a great basic aerobic workout, this is the machine for you.
