Amazon.com Product Description An affordable way to burn calories at home without taking up a ton of space, the Stamina SpaceMate E100 elliptical trainer is a terrific choice for home workout enthusiasts. Elliptical trainers offer a unique appeal, as they burn a similar number of calories as jogging but without the risk of injury to the back, knees, hips, or ankles. The smooth-gliding machines also invite you to work the foot pedals in both a forward and reverse direction, helping you train your leg, core, and glute muscles in different ways. Best of all, the E100 boasts a notably small footprint for an elliptical trainer, so you don't have to dedicate a huge workout area to fit the device in your home. The E100 offers such features as a variable tension knob that makes it easy to increase or decrease your workout intensity; a foam-covered, continuous handlebar that boasts a full range of hand positions; and an easy-to-read electronic fitness monitor for tracking your speed, time, distance, or calories burned. Ideal for losing weight, building endurance, or toning muscles, the E100 measures 32 by 52.4 by 22.25 inches (W x H x D), supports up to 250 pounds, and is backed by a one-year warranty on the frame and a 90-day warranty on parts.

A space saver, but......... March 5, 2008 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
Bought this because it's a space-saver. I was not expecting too much, but this is a very bad elliptical unit. The limited range of motion combined with the irregular pumping action one experiences as you `cycle' through your steps make this machine a very, very poor choice for your supplemental workout (knees in particular). Better to spend an extra $100 - $200 and buy a larger unit that includes the moving arm-poles for a more total body workout. Something that gives you a smooth `ride' along with an adjustable stride. Several years ago, I bought a slightly more expensive machine with the desirable features I've listed above. It was big -- definitely not a space saver -- but it worked just fine and didn't cost a ton of money (sold it when I moved). I've learned my lesson and will be returning my purchase to Walgreens...and then start shopping for a better machine.
