Best Netbook Ever November 24, 2008 MSI has made the best Netbook so far. The build quality is nice and the keyboard layout is comfortable. It was a good choice to go with a 10 inch screen model. I have bought two of these so far. An all black model, that I upgraded the HDD to 250GB and 2Gb of Ram. I dual boot Win XP and Mac with it and works great. This Love Edition model I bought for a friend who's in school. She's the envy of her classmates. Great for school kids and road warriors who don't need a heavy muscle machine and easy on the weight.
Absolutely love it! November 10, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Just what I needed. The keyboard isn't much smaller than the one on my laptop, so I'm not making many keyboarding mistakes. I love being able to view a Web page without having to scroll all over the screen. It stays cool even after a long session on it. My only regret is that I don't have the six cell battery. I am looking for a way to purchase one. But as stated by another reviewer, the power adaptor and cords are plenty long. I was surprised that it came with a white zippered case that is quite nice. I have a hard time DRAGGING out my laptop now. Watch out...the Wind mini laptop can be habit-forming!
What I was looking for. November 2, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This MSI is just what I was looking for...Price, small, lightweight, well built, stays cool, Windows XP. 120 GB HDD, 10" screen. Starts up quick, recognized my wi-fi at home and work with no problems. The screen is bright enough to use outdoors, too. The 3-cell battery is the only drawback...It only works about 2 1/2 hrs for me. That's OK, it came with a nice long a/c cord, an outlet is never far away. I had an extra 1GB RAM (Maximum, 2GB) and added to it. Get an extra 3-cell battery or order with the 6-cell.
a wonderful mate September 30, 2008 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
After years spending my money on powerful, and yet, heavy laptops, I figured out that I don't really need a Dual 2 core 2.3 Ghz, 4Ghz ram. I just need something really portable and lightweight (I'm 5feet, not a strong woman though) This minibook gorgeous at the look, and pretty good at performance with a high capacity hard drive. It can handle very well daily tasks such as surfing the internet, Office tasks and somewhat good on multitasks if you don't try to abuse it too much. I leave all heavy tasks for my desktop or my other company laptop. And this a real first "laptop" of mine, since all others are too heavy, or too hot to put them on me. This one is quite cool compare to Vaio 13" I bought a 1Gb memmory to upgrade it later, since I'm still very undecided about upgrading it. I don't want to void my warranty that soon. The only thing I don't like it is - The Fn key is at the Ctrl key, and the Ctrl moved inside. All in all, I highly recommend this minibook.
