I bought the Gymboss Interval timer for training purposes. I am a walker and am beginning to learn chi running. At this point I use it for a combination workout and just love it. Setup was easy, it couldn't be more user friendly, and the price certainly was right. I highly recommend the Gymboss!

It does what I need it to do for boxing and sprinting exercises. You can set 2 different times.
Boxing- 3min of workout, 1min of rest
Sprinting- 15 seconds of workout, 50 sec of rest.
Good stuff.
The price is a bit steep for what it only does. Though this was the cheapest interval timer I saw on this site.
Economy timer August 24, 2008
I use this timer for timing intervals on a heavybag or body opponent bag (BOB). It works great, and does everything I need it to at a reasonable cost. The alarm sounds loud when nothing else is happening, but sometimes I can't hear it when working on the heavybag with music playing over a speaker even though the timer is only a few feet away. To be fair, the chains and swivels for the heavybag make quite a bit of noise, and I don't have this problem when working with the BOB with music. The timer does everything I was hoping for, but could be a little louder.

Works like a charm...the Gymboss timer is an excellent tool for weightlifting, boxing, etc. Such an enormous help with my workouts. Thanks!!

Pros: compact, easily portable, inexpensive, does what it's supposed to do!
Cons: It would be the perfect device if it was a little easier to program; You can't skip to the next interval - you have to start all over again or reprogram with new times.
