Great till it broke within a week. November 7, 2008 This scale worked great the first week I had it home. Measurements were always spot on, and I could weigh myself 10 times in a row with the exact same weight within 0.1 pounds. Plus, I loved being able to just step on and have it work right away.
However, after that first week, it no longer turned on. I bought a new battery, which was a pain to find, which didn't do any good. Amazon is great and is taking it back of course, but they don't have any more in stock currently, so I'll have to find something else.
I hope it was a fluke that it broke so quickly, but wanted to let others know.
Well Worth the Few Extra Dollars October 15, 2008 This a terrific scale. Well worth the few extra dollars. To start with, it's attractive which is nice since it sits out all the time. The numbers on the display are nice and large and easy to read. It displays your weight in kg, lb or stones. (Stones: how fun is that?!) You shouldn't step on it with wet feet though, as it can be slippery, but who weighs themselves when they're wet anyway? If you're the type of person who is cavalier enough to weigh yourself wet or with your clothes on, then you don't need this scale, because the extra money is for the accuracy. Not all scales that display your weight to a tenth of a pound, are actually accurate to a tenth of pound -- most are accurate to .2 pounds. This scale is actually accurate to .1 of a pound, which is perfect for me since I don't have a lot to loose and my progress is slow. With this scale I get credit for every tenth lost! Now, if the scale could just help me to loose some body fat....
