Good but extremely difficult to shorten lengthNovember 29, 2008 I bought this for my 12 year old daughter who is a gymnast. She thinks it is a fine jump rope but unfortunately it is too long.
Pros: ball-bearings help to make this a jump rope that is easy to use
Cons: difficult if not impossible to shorten the length because of the special pin/clamp that seals the rope into the handle. It would have been handy to provide a special tool to do this.
Durable.September 12, 2008 I bought an Everlast leather jump rope about 17 years ago and STILL have it. I keep it in my garage where it has been exposed to a lot of heat and cold and have done virtually NO maintenance to the thing- and it continues to works great!
If you're looking for a quality/affordable jumprope that will take years of abuse, this is your jumprope. Those that have never jumped rope with one that has ball bearings in the handle are in for a real treat.
the perfect ropeJune 12, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
with ball bearings in the wooden handles, and a real leather "rope" this is a perfect exercise jump rope. I am 5'10" and the 9.5 footer is the correct length for me. I would not get the shorter rope unless you are 5'6 or shorter in height.

Used the jump rope maybe 3-4 times and the handle broke off, you would expect a quality jump rope for the price but don't count on it. Then again it could have just been mine.
