Description This unintimidating program shows you how to use a fitness ball in easy-to-understand language. Not only can you reshape and tone your whole body with this program, but you may even change your mind about exercise. Firm up your total body with the hottest exercise tool on the market-the fitness ball. With this workout, you can increase the fun and the effectiveness of your exercise. Because the ball constantly challenges your balance, you have to work your deep, core muscles harder to remain steady. Anyone, regardless of age or fitness level, can use the ball to get a better workout, and that includes you! Fat-to-Firm Ball Workout For Dummies offers step by step instruction of 15 exercises that work your entire body. Many of the exercises have modifications that make working out at your own level easy to do. This workout incorporates upper-,middle-, and lower-body exercises to help you strengthen muscles, burn more calories daily, improve your posture, and meet your fitness goals. One to two sets of three-to ten-pound dumbbells are recommended, along with a fitness ball. About the instructor: Liz Gillies is a fitness professional who has been teaching for more than 15 years, specializing in the Pilates Method and fitness ball training. Liz is the owner of The InsideScoop, a certifying studio for the Physical Mind Institute, and has appeared in other ball exercise videos, including the Zone ball workouts. GR8 Workout!!! February 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the best Fitness Ball DVD that I have found, and I think this workout is fantastic!!! (Options for basic & advanced training are demonstrated on DVD).
it's okay December 27, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I just used this tape the other day. The instructor does a good job of explaining things, and they do spell out what you are doing very well. The only thing I didn't get out of it was a good workout. This would be fine if you are a beginner or are new to exercise, because it is helpful, but if you are used to working up a good sweat or feeling like you've really gotten a good workout, I didn't get that from this tape. So I would recommend for beginners, but not for someone who's done this for awhile.
You need to have good balance September 28, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
So I thought this "Dummies" version would be easier and I realized that I have horrible balance and this dvd didn't work for me! There were great tidbits about exercise and that was very informative.
Great video for a beginner. September 9, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
The directions for the excercises presented in this video are really easy to follow. For most exercises there are 2 levels of difficulty. One for the biginners and one for the more advanced. The tips are great too. It is like being with your own personal trainer, reminding you of the finepoints of the exercises. I also like that the video covers both upper and lower body work in one session. A great video for beginners or people not so familiar with working out on the ball.

It was very good for someone that needs to learn the techniques for using the exercise ball. I would say it is for beginners not intermediates.
