6" X 36" Foam Roller Review October 31, 2008 This product had been recommended to me by a friend in Sports Medicine.
I had used a similar "roller" at Physical Therapy, but for a different reason. When I purchased this similar product, I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked......doing the same thing that my PT did with a surgical steel blade.
After rolling my IT Band on this roller, I was amazed how much more "flexible" my leg was, as I had shattered 4" of my femur seven months ago. I would buy it all over again, and will be using it twice per day even after my "walk" is much smoother. It honestly helps alleviate a lot of stiffness and discomfort. A good investment in my opinion.
Hard to Ignore October 13, 2008 I bought the 36" x 6" Round Cando Foam Roller and had much the same experience as other buyers in that my foam roller wasn't perfectly round but more of an oval shape. I didn't think the imperfect shape of my roller was bad enough to warrant a return however.
This Foam Roller is Oval - not Round October 6, 2008 The first roller I received was oval - the diameter measured 5-5/8" x 6-1/4". I requested an exchange and the second roller measures the same in diameter. This affects your ability to roll evenly and smoothly and probably inhibits the overall effectiveness of your exercises. I'm hoping it's not doing me any harm.
When I called The Therapy Connection both times to complain about the oval shape, they said they have no control over their manufacturer.
Good product, encountered shipping issues October 6, 2008 I ordered this product with rush shipping since I was leaving town shortly after I ordered it. Unfortunately, the product didn't arrive. I inquired a week later and was told that I refused shipment. The company was displeased that they had to eat the cost of shipping when I had supposedly refused.
After checking the shipping records myself on UPS, I noticed that the item had been sent to the wrong state entirely. I did point out the error and the company refunded the entire cost of shipping. They did send the item to me and I like it.
Overall, I was pleased that they were willing to refund shipping and admit the mistake. It would have been better if it had been caught by them though and not me.
Can do stretching with Cando Foam Roller September 16, 2008 The foam roller is awesome. I do it pre-workout and it's great. Sometimes I lie on it and stretch at night to loosen up the muscles. It's a great stress reliever too. The foam will never collapse (I'm told by someone who uses it 100x more than me). So happy
