The Original Dyna-Flex Pro Plus is designed with a high performance rotor, which can reach speeds of up to 10,000, rpm and puts out 38lbs. of torque. It also features a new "thermo band", which aids the user in controlling this powerhouse. The Dyna-Flex Pro Plus was designed not only to be user friendly but to aid in sports rehabilitation and conditioning of the lower arm. It is being used for carpal tunnel syndrome, by musicians, for improving performance in sports, as well as, helping in repetitive stress for computer terminal operators. The new Dyna-Flex Pro Plus comes with a removable top cap, which allows the insertion of the optional speed meter.  Easy to start, suprisingly good exercise for the entire arm! November 28, 2008
I love this thing. Had no trouble getting it to pull-start, but takes some getting used to. Fun for the whole family, and add the unexpected befit of driving your wife crazy with the low hum noise it makes :-)

this is the orginal dynaflex so if you are interested, get the more expenisve ones cause its better.

I used to work at a retail store where we had an off brand of one of these and we used to use it to pass the time on slow days.
I ordered this one because I'd been having a little trouble with some wrist pain. It really helped a lot with the wrist pain and it was a pretty good work out if you do some of the exercises that they include.
However, it can be very difficult to start. I was unsure about some of the issues the other reviewers had experienced and I will say the off brand one we had at the store was much easier to get going than this one. Your best bet is to just use the included pull string; while I did manage to get it started by hand once or twice the time and effort required are excessive (30min -1 hr).
Excellent for Basket-Ball and squash May 12, 2008
Rarely I see a product that advertises exactly what it really does. This is the case, Dynaflex gets the job done. I have tried to workout for less than 10 min, everyday, and in less than a week I have test the extra power in playing squash and basket ball. Not only my grip is better, but the power of the wrist seems to be enhanced.
Very recommended for raquet based and hand based sports.
