It accepts 7-foot Olympic bars and provides pop-pin crutch height adjustment with oversized bar catches. It also features a dual-action leg developer with six cushioned roller pads and a pivot point that correctly aligns with your knee joints for better biomechanics. Other features include an adjustable seat for decline, flat and incline lifting positions, arm curl pad, and 2.25 by 2-inch heavy duty steel tube frame. About Utility Benches Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, free-weight lifting continues to be a popular option for home strength training. Free weights offer a special benefit in strength training because they promote quicker strength gains. Free weights also work a larger number of muscles than resistance machines, which tend to focus on isolated muscles. Specially-designed adjustable pads, grips, and bars help limit and guide movements to minimize the possibility of muscle or joint damage. Plus, from a single utility bench, a vast number of exercises can be performed. Whether it is focusing on the abdomen, arms, chest, or any other muscle group, a utility bench can help you maximize your strength training goals while minimizing your risk of personal injury.

Better than expected July 22, 2008 Bought this for my son who wanted to start weight training. It wasn't a luxury item so we didn't want to spend much. We certainly got our money's worth and more!
We tried looking at many sporting goods stores and some of the benches looked cheap or the bar wasn't this or that. This bench is STURDY, the bars, the weight lock up, etc...my son has had this over a year now and still uses it. We've added weights to it and it stores well.
Doesn't take up much room either. Great item for the price!! Even better for the price.
Lump June 23, 2007 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
This bench has a huge "lumbar support" which makes bench pressing feel awkward. It is horribly designed. I rested upon it in the store and couldn't believe how uncomfortable it felt, and how much pressure it placed upon my back.
Avoid any Marcy products with the bench lump.
Great Bench May 30, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've been lifting to try and get bigger not really trying to get cut. This bench and a pair of dumbells is a great way to work out. You can't do alot of toning work but if your trying to beef up and drop a little weight great bench at a great price.
Great product But.... March 23, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
the bench is in pretty good shape for beginners to intermediate athletes. woulda got 5 stars but one of the bench's parts came bent and me and my brother had to pound it back into shape with a Maul could have been shipping but the box was not crushed and the metal in this part is very strong. I still like the bench it is cheap in price but gets my workouts done.
