hyper extension bench August 30, 2008 Have not been able to use it since it arrived missing the most important piece, the adjustment knob. Without that piece, you could fall and hurt yourself because that is needed to balance your feet. Backordered from Chine more than a month ago......
Roman Chair August 17, 2008 Good solid value for the money. The chair is suprisingly stable and is a good piece for a home gym. The pading could have been alittle thicker but overall a good value.
Excellent August 4, 2008 Very nice roman chair. Well built and designed. Works prefect for what I bought it for.
Perfect for first-time assemblers! July 31, 2008 Very pleased with this item. The parts were packaged in a well-protected manner. The manufacturer labeled the parts very well. I was able to match the proper part with the related instruction without any confustion on my part. When it comes to attaching the seat to the seat plate, and the seat plate and handlebars to the post, just double check that everything is going in the appropriate direction before attaching them. The seat plate and the handlbars are attached to the post at the same time. The handlebars have a slant to them. I mention this in passing because I don't know if the instructions weren't clear enough, or if it was me which is why I still gave it 5 stars. Everything else was easy to understand. Even though I didn't have the seat plate in the correct direction, it was very easy for me to correct my mistake. I took my time in assembling it, but I was still able to complete it within a couple of hours. For someone more experienced in assembling equipment, it might take less time. The instructions said that you needed to use two adjustable Allen wrenches, but I found that I didn't need them. Anyway, one does come with the unit. Some consumers found that the unit was wobbly. I did not find it so. I found the unit to be very stable. I thought that there could be another explanation causing the item to be wobbly which is why I wasn't deterred from buying it. If you're looking for a quality hyper-extension bench, I feel that you cannot go wrong with the Apex. It's a great product with a bonus of a great price.
Perfect Product June 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was looking for a hyper extension bench that was built as well as the commercial ones in the gym. This is an amazing product for the cost. It works excellent and I am 6 ft tall. All of these people who say they are too tall for it are doing the exercise wrong. Lower the pads and have them at lower calf level. There is no way that you will hit the floor unless you are 7 1/2 feet tall. The directions could be a little more clear to put it together. My 11 yr old son was able to tell me that we had one of the peices backwards which is why the seat was coming out backwards. All in all, an excellent purchase.
