Customer Reviews:
Needs to be adjustable but isn't December 1, 2008 The hooks hang from the wrist strap at a fixed length, so if this length is not what fits you, you will end up not being able to hold the bar with your hands. In my case, my wrist-to-fingertips distance is short, so the hooks hang down too far, making it impossible to use them effectively. Some sort of mechanism to shorten/lengthen the hook distance would make this product much better.
Work well! February 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After about 270 lbs. my grip starts to go, then I use these hooks and can keep on going. My only complaint is that they are a very snug fit on my olympic bar, on a regular one inch bar you can walk right up and hook and lift, On the olympic bar I have to work them onto the bar and after the lift kind of pry / wiggle them off. It's not too bad but after a max lift I just want to sit down not have to fight to get unclipped.
Great Lifting Hooks August 23, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I work out with my brother and he owns these hooks. I have used them many times. When I went out and bought my own. I bought these expensive models from a big brand company thinking they would be better, and they were usless. They had one very small hook per hand and they felt like they were going to slip of the bar.I didn't feel safe using them. So now they stay in the bottom of my gym bag to lend to buddies at the gym.I bought my own Spri pro line lifting hook and they work great. They have two large hooks per hand. I no longer feel like the bar and gym equipment handles will slip out of the hooks. Plus some of the gym equipment have thick padded handles and these hooks are big to wrap around them.
