Very nice unit March 11, 2010 Song Chen (USA) it's very easy to setup, and served the purpose. Easily clipped on my belt.
Pedometer yes, clip no. March 8, 2010 K. Larsen (Utah) I was so excited to finally find an efficient, easy to use pedometer! I appreciated how it tracked for 7 days, was completely quiet, no clicking, and even kept track of my steps when I was using machines for other aerobic activity, which it is not guaranteed to do. But then I got home one day and it had fallen off of my belt! I was so upset it was gone. I definitely want to buy another one to replace it, but I will have to buy a safety clip to go along with it I guess. So I took a star away for the clip that didn't come through for me. But the pedometer part gets an excellent review.
purchase the Omron HJ-112 instead March 6, 2010 Brenda Hines (Valparaiso, IN United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Do not waste your money on the pocket ped. I LOVE my HJ-112, but thought I had lost it. I drive a school bus, so I have excess movement that is not a "step" the HJ-112 does not count my driving as steps. But, I thought it was gone forever. So, I liked the design of the hip pedometer, smaller, clip attached to the unit, and Omron, it had to be great, right? WRONG. It counted EVERY movement, and then I think some I didn't even take.
How do I know. I found my HJ-112 and did a little comparison study one day. Sure enough, the hip ped had DOUBLE the amount of steps on it. (Now sure, I would love to say I walked all those steps, but, I can only deceive my mind, my body would show the truth.)I called Omron, and unfortunately, the gal tried to tell me that it was because of my stride distance...ok, I hated to have to explain how the product actually works and that that would only effect my distance walked, not the actual steps walked....phew...but I digress.
LOVE the HJ-112 and wear it everyday, I now have it attached to loop so that I don't loose it out of my pocket. Hope that helps. Smiles to All.
Omron Pedometer March 3, 2010 Jan Rolko (akron, Ohio) This is a good product. The residents use them at the retirement community to keep track of their exercise. Our fitness trainers recommended these pedometers after testing others.
Love the pedometer...hate the clip! March 2, 2010 S. Stannard (Newcastle CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I loved this pedometer, it's simple and very accurate. However, after buying two of them, one fell off and was lost, the other fell off and was broken, I have switched to another omron that can be better attached. The one I purchased and have now, can track more "stuff" that I don't need but it has a better clip and it comes with a safety leash. The pedometer has come off, but because of the leash, it has not fallen to the ground. Hopefully I'll have this one for a while.
