5 out of 5 stars Century XXL Wavemaster Training Bag   August 23, 2010
I. Know (USA)
Pros: The bag is tall and has striking surface areas from head to calves. The bag is sturdy and when the base is filled is almost impossible to knock over. The density is cushy to prevent impact injuries during workouts with the use of gloves of course to prevent wrist injury.

Cons: the base does move on hard impact (slides - but so do real opponents move!) and does need a twist as it becomes loose at the base, but a minor annoyance. The base also makes distancing for knees and elbows somewhat challenging, as well as for infighting techniques.

Overall, a great piece of equipment.

1 out of 5 stars Puddles in my living room   August 3, 2010

we filled it with water and when we were at just over the halfway point, it started gushing water everywhere. We had to turn it on it's side to stop it, but not before there was water everywhere ruining my carpet. We had to roll it into the bathroom because it was too heavy to carry. It gushed water all the way there. Now I have to try and return tha damn thing which will be a complete pain, not to mention that it was my sons birthday present and he can't even use it. Not happy.

5 out of 5 stars great start for your basic workouts!   June 8, 2010
R. Boudreau (Midway, GA USA)
this bag has been fantastic from the jump! it arrived on schedule and i filled it up the first night (sand). absorbs kicks, jabs and straights pretty well. my only problem is that it's not great for hooks, knees or uppercuts but that's ok because i knew what i was getting when i bought it. you can work on basic combinations and technique and it's great for cardio. it moves around a bit when hit but that's actually a fantastic way to keep your feet working. all in all it's better than the liquid core bag a thought about purchasing originally. awesome buy and worth every penny. my girlfriend and kids even like working with it!

4 out of 5 stars Great alternative to hanging a bag from the ceiling   May 7, 2010
J. Loftus (Miami, Florida)
I've had this bag for just under a year and have been a very satisfied customer. The only downfall is that this is not the same as hitting an actual heavy bag. I definately wish I could be striking a a 80+ lb bag but since I have nowhere to hang one and I mainly use boxing for cardio training, this is a great alternative that gets what I need done.

2 out of 5 stars Bag will break in time   May 6, 2010

I purchased six of these for a boxing class. We only use the bags about one hour a week. Within the first year, three of the six bags broke. The bags "screw" into the base. The plastic part of the bag that screws in will snap and make the bag useless. The plastic used is simply not durable enough to hold up to strong punches. Being a procrastinator, I waited until after the warranty had expired to contact Century. They told me they were aware of the problem and could sell me a replacement part for $250 and $15 shipping. I purchased the bags for $249 each, so I didn't find this helpful at all. If the bags were more durable, I would purchase more, but until they fix the problem, I would not purchase another Wasemaster XXL.
