The Timex T70981 Youth digital watch is reliable, durable, and readable in the dark, thanks to the integrated Indiglo night-light, but it's also flat-out fun to wear. It features an easily readable digital display with large, recognizable icons for the chrono, alarm, and timer functions, and a comfortable elastic fabric strap (for better dirt and stain resistance) with blue lightning bolts against a multi-tone blue base. This watch also offers water resistance to 30 meters (100 feet), 12/24-hour time, durable blue resin case, large function buttons, and Timex's unique Kids Loss Protection Plan. It's recommended for children ages 6 and older. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function. Timex understands that kids often lose things, even their most prized possessions, which is why this watch is covered by the Timex Kids Loss Protection Plan. If the watch is lost, Timex will replace it with the same style (or similar if your style is not available) at the price of $10 for up to one year from the original date of purchase, with no questions asked.  Great kis watch December 22, 2008
These are great watches for young children. My 2nd grade boy doesn't even sleep without his. The stretchy band is comfortable and so easy to put on. He has has this watch in several different designs and loves them.

I bought this for my 9 year old nephew on his birthday and he absolutely loved it! He figured out quickly how to work the light and was constantly telling us what time it was!
 Watch worked only 4 months October 1, 2008
After 4 months the watch leaked water in during bath. The seller (Chelsea Watch) is not answering my mail and it seems like I need to buy another watch for my very disseminated son. Overall, a waste of money for poor quality item.

My son absolutly loves this watch. The stretch band is perfect for him, being waterproof was a necessity. He doesn't have to worry about removing it before getting in water. It has all of the features we were looking for that we had been unable to find. In fact, I ordered 2 in error and a friend took the other one and her son loves it too.
