I've found these pants are great at blocking wind for cold-weather trips. They're also very good for putting layers under to keep the cold at bay. When it's not as cold, I use them for riding in rain or other wet conditions. Again I find them comfortable, dry and flexible. So far they've held up through heavy use in workday commuting! I've encountered no real drawbacks so far.
