The GT-2140's are my first pair of ASICS and what a very pleasant surprise! Very comfortable, light, stylish. Seems to be very durable. I now see what all the fuss (about ASICS) is about.
Excellent Shoe February 27, 2010

I have moderately flat feet and use these as my indoor/treadmill shoes. I use a pair of Brooks Beast on the road for the extra support at the cost of it being a heavier shoe.
Per Runner's Studio, I've logged 425 miles on this pair so far. Looking at the tread, they have maybe another 200-ish miles of life left. Besides a bit of discoloration from sweat on the white 'mesh' part of the upper shoe, and the tread-wear, they are essentially still in new condition. Obviously this is helped by my using them as being primarily an indoor shoe, but still that's pretty good mileage for me as I tend to be pretty hard on shoes.
Based on my limited sample (1 pair), these run maybe 1/4 to 1/2 size small, but stretch without damaging to 'normal' size quickly and painlessly.
For people needing a bit of extra support and willing to pay a bit of a weight price, I'd fully recommend these.
Great Fitting Shoe for Runners February 26, 2010

Fit was quite snug to the point of being too tight right out of the box, but a quick 2 mile run on the treadmill loosened them up nicely and now after several more short runs they're perfectly molded to my feet. I can't say that I've ever had a pair of sneakers of any type that fit so comfortably well.
The design and cushioning materials used in these running shoes are simply outstanding in effectiveness for virtually eliminating the shin and knee discomfort I experienced prior to wearing them and my workouts are now much more comfortable overall as a result. However, I'm now noticing some slight hip discomfort during my runs that I didn't before as the impact is apparently absorbed so incredibly well by the Asics GT-2140 shoes in the mid to lower extremities that my hip joints have now become the weakest link in absorbing the shock and its noticeable.
Style wise I can't say that these shoes are incredibly attractive, but that's coming from someone who absolutely loves the gorgeous, modern styling of the Nike Shox, but these weren't really purchased for style, but rather increased comfort for supporting workout productivity and they truly deliver that result in a pleasantly comfortable, unsurpassed fashion.
