Unlike Razor's E300S and E500S scooters--whose motors start from a standing position--the E100 requires a small manual kickoff to 3 miles per hour before starting (the rider presses a trigger to engage the motor). Once the rider is on the move, however, the electric motor ramps up to 10 miles per hour--fast enough to have fun, but not fast enough to be a menace on the street or sidewalk. And thanks to the long-life rechargeable battery, which takes about eight hours to fully charge, riders can cruise for up to 40 minutes at a stretch. Other details include a folding handlebar mechanism for easy storage and transport, an 8-inch pneumatic front tire and 4.9-inch polyurethane rear wheel, and a hand-operated front brake. The E100 is recommended for ages 8 and older and offers a maximum weight capacity of 120 pounds. It also comes with a pair of 12-volt batteries, a charger, and tools and is backed by a 90-day warranty. Razor E100 Electric Scooter January 6, 2009
I bought both my daughters the E100 electric scooter and they love them! They are easy to charge so the girls are able to do it themselves.
This product is not meant for long rides or big hills. This scooter last between 3 and 5 miles then needs to be recharged. It is great just to ride around the neighborhood to see friends.

My 9 year old son loves this scooter. It's easy to steer and doesn't go too fast. So far it's worked perfectly.
Christmas gift for granddaughter January 6, 2009
I bought this for my 5 1/2 year old granddaughter for Christmas. She loves it. I ordered it on a Wednesday and received it two days later! The scooter was very easy to assemble, just snapping together a couple of pieces. Charged it overnight and it was good to go on Christmas.

My 6 year old really likes it. He can finally keep up with his 9 year old brother on his Razor 'Vespa' scooter. This was very simple to put together. 10mph is fast enough for my 6 year old. Some of the reviews cautioned about taking turns too sharp, as the scooter would scrape the ground at extreme angles; this has not been a problem at all.
Awesome Gift January 6, 2009
I actually bought two of these scooters for my boys (ages 6 and 11). Both scooters arrived exactly when they were supposed to. It took less than 5 minutes to put them together and get them charging. My boys love them. They are zooming all over the neighborhood. Great gifts for the money!
