I bought this thing for 2 reasons: it's cheap (black friday sale for $10, free shipping) and I want to test out a shuffler for quick poker playing with friends on weekend.
I got the box in 2 days. Though I was prepared to see some shabby product, the finish was still under my expectation. However, I am a brave "value" person, meaning that I wouldn't mind the look, nor spending a bit time to figure things out as far as they work and the cost is low.
The shock I got immediately was that when I read through the reviews written by other people, no body mentioned that this little thing needs C-sized batteries and, 4 of them. A quick search on internet told me that the batteries will cost me $25 for 1-timer and $40 for rechargeable, 3-4 times the cost of the machine!!!
Fortunately, I was able to snatch the AA batteries into the machine and it did work! Later I found a anti-shaking foam, cut it into the shape to fit AA batteries and squeezed them into the battery slots. Now I have a working shuffler that eats cheap AA batteries.
I don't know how long it will last but for occasional poker games, I may just keep it.
 6 DECK CARD SHUFFLER November 11, 2008
AFTER CHECKING MANY WEB SITES, I FOUND THE PRODUCT AT HALF THE PRICE ON AMAZON. IT'S THE SAME SHUFFLER MY FRIENDS SPENT A LOT MORE FOR. I NEEDED SOMETHING ELSE THAT I'D BEEN LOOKING FOR AND ENDED UP NOT HAVING TO PAY SHIPPING AS WELL.
 6 deck card shuffler November 2, 2008
When we received the 6 deck card shuffler the clear plastic card holder was lopsided. We would shuffle the cards the way the shuffler instructed...but cards were going sideways, unside down and getting caught on the side of the machine. After taking the shuffler apart, we found that the springs were off on one side and loose on the other. After this minor adjustment...the card shuffler works great!

Two of the three shufflers had to be returned because of defects. One had a broken spring, the other one had a broken plastic gear. They were replaced with no problem.

I found this product to be all it was advertised to be. I have bought several from other souces of the same item and they were much more expensive and they did not work very long. I used this card suffler every week when 3 couples play cards.
