They do not stink July 12, 2008 Forget about the CD it sucks or is of marginal use (come on it sucks!). Without the CD this product is of great quality, i've been using mine for more than 2 years now and they are almost like new and they dont stink as harbinger do in just a while
Superb Gloves June 27, 2008 More than just a modern conception, the product misses perfection by "that much!" as Maxwell Smart would say.
This is my second pair after losing the first one. Had these gloves for well over a year and can attest to it's washability, utility, and ability to endure lots of wear and tear. The gripping is surprising excellent and even handles surfaces excessively coated with body oil -ensuring safe use. Gloves are very comfortable and cool looking too.
These gloves are great but I'm only saying this latter part because I appreciate perfection in design AND practicality. The shame is that if these were sewn just a little bit better (no loose threads) it would the "IT" product of the year on anyone's list.
great for kettlebell weights January 22, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
After a few weeks of working out with kettlebell weights, my hands became blistered and painful. After the blisters on my hands became so painful I could hardly get through a modest workout, I finally decided to buy these gloves. The gloves allow me to firmly grip the kettlebell, but at the same time it allows the weight to slide when I loosen my grip. Keep in mind that the skin on the base of your fingers and possibly part of your palm will still get rubbed and may tear open the skin using these gloves with the kettlebell weights. Although the skin may tear, it can always heal and become tougher. When you don't use gloves however, it will pinch the skin and cause blisters and contusions to form which are much harder to deal with.
Great Gloves Useless CD December 13, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Gloves work perfect and fit comfortable, easy on easy off. Buy the gloves and toss the CD. I did have to purchase a glove size smaller than I usually would.
Excellent gloves perfect for any vegan September 22, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm vegan, so I've had lots of trouble finding decent (and affordable) workout gloves that don't include leather or any other animal products. These gloves, made with all synthetic materials, fit that bill. I've been using them for about a month and haven't noticed the slightest bit of wear or tear on them (and the calluses on my hands have gotten better!).
The thumb pad is really nice for when you don't have a towel on you (or, more typically, in between towel wipes), but of course, if you're going to be doing a long workout, it isn't going to be sufficient no matter how absorbent it is. The pull tab on the middle finger is also a big help.
The included disc contains some basic workout-design software, but I haven't used it because it's so basic. If you're very new to working out, it may be a help, but I believe that intermediate to advanced exercisers won't have much use for it.
The one criticism I have is that, at least at first, they didn't seem well-ventilated enough and my hands would get a little hot and sweaty. However, I think that's a small price to pay for gloves that are equally small in price.
