Amazon.com Product Description Exercise both your lower and upper body in one fluid routine with the Denise Austin dual-action Mini Stepper. The Mini Stepper is easy to use, with a pair of dual-action arms along the top that provide upper body resistance and a pair of steps to work the lower body. Once on board, you can enjoy a vigorous full-body cardiovascular workout without neglecting your all-important arm, chest, and shoulder muscles. The Mini Stepper relies on dual hydraulic cylinders and a dial adjustment system to provide the resistance, along with an electronic monitor (includes two AA batteries) to track such details as the workout time, distance, step count, total number of steps, and calories burned. Other features include a heavy-duty steel frame that holds up to years of use, a smooth pulley system for quiet operation, and a maximum weight limit of 250 pounds. The Mini Stepper--which is endorsed by Denise Austin, one of America's premier fitness authorities--measures 19 by 50 by 18.5 inches (W x H x D) and carries a 90-day warranty on parts and a one-year warranty on the frame. Solid construction but really only lower body workout. August 15, 2010 Dedimus The stepper appears to be well made in everything but the arms. They provide a clunky and nearly non-existent level of resistance. The actual stepper function appears to work well and at the very least the arms can help stabilize you; just don't expect an upper-body workout from it.
The unit arrives partially constructed, so the assembly was straight-forward and can easily be completed in 3-5 minutes with a pair of pliers and a phillips head screwdriver.
good August 13, 2010 jen i love it, however, i expected the handles to be more supportive.....it isn't...it's very loose
Good for Basic Workout September 30, 2009 lila c. (USA) I bought this product used and it was delivered on time and in good condition. Overall I am pleased with my purchase because it met my expectations. I needed a simple exercise machine for an older relative, that I sometimes use myself. If you are looking to get your circulation going or keep active while watching TV, this is a good buy.
Great product July 13, 2009 Georgia Mimi I have not used this as much as I should, but I really like this product.
Very useful! July 5, 2009 Paola Sebastiani (Boston, MA United States) I bought this stepper in December 2008 and I use it regularly, every day, for 1/2 hour. Regular use is a very good work out of the lower and upper body. It is small so does not use much space. To me, it is very good value for money.
