Amazon.com Product Description Focus your abdominal workout strictly on your stomach muscles with the Ab Lounge 2, a comfortable, effective ab machine for people of all fitness levels. The Ab Lounge 2 offers a sturdy floor-based position that helps you experience a total range of motion, making it easy to work muscles in the upper and lower abdominals and obliques. At the same time, the chair supports your body, head, neck, and back throughout the entire exercise, so you won't accidentally strain a non-ab muscle through poor form. And thanks to the unique rolled steel frame, the unit easily supports up to 250 pounds. 1 year later June 30, 2008 My husband turned 50 last April and started using an ab lounger everyday faithfully he was at 210, 1 year later he is now 175 thinner than he was when we got married and this was the only change that he did, he really does no other exercise routine. He continues to do the ab lounger every am, he looks great and states his back is great. No sciatica pain since he started using the ab lounger. He could be a poster child.Ab Lounge 2 Ultimate Abdominal Machine
Ab Lounge is great June 27, 2008 Light, compact, easy storage what more can you say one of the best Excersizers.
Spendy, but a Good Workout June 1, 2008 I bought an ab lounge about a year ago, and I used it every day for a month, and that was all the time it took to get a 6 pack. It's very effective for ab exercises, and it helps to stretch your back at the same time and add flexibility(warning though, don't stretch as far as it'll go if you don't have a fairly flexible back). I'd say its a little much for a thing that only focuses on one body part, but it's much less expensive than those giant machines at the gym. And as a plus, it can also function as a chair when you have company and not enough seats. Just remember, you have to keep up on the exercises, as I lost my 6-pack after about 3 days when I took a break for a job search.
Way too little BANG for its BULK May 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've purchased a variety of home exercise equipment over the years, and this must be the LEAST useful & MOST inconvenient thing (not to mention pricey) I've ever run across.
Don't believe for a second that it can be folded & stashed away when not in use--it's only marginally less bulky when folded. When it IS in use, unless you have a dedicated exercise room with plenty of open floorspace, plan on rearranging the furniture or launching some valuables.
Depending on how creative you are, there are only between 1 & 5 exercises you can do with this thing, which means you're investing a good bit of money & space for very limited returns. Oh, and if you do plan on leaving it out, expect to take some ribbing when friends come over. It's instantly recognizable, impossible to hide & about as sexy as an overstuffed recliner.
Bottom line, whatever your fitness goals, there are plenty of more compact, useful & inexpensive options out there than this thing. Keep looking.
Now my back is 90% better May 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the AB lounge 2 because my lower back was always very stiff and sore mostly from not exercising. I tried the lounge for about 5 minutes the first day and my back was 25% better by the next day. After several uses my lower back was almost as good as it was years ago. I only need to use it for about 5 minutes a week to keep my back in shape. I guess if I did use it more I might get my stomach in shape also.
