 If you are going to do leg exercises, this is the ring. December 17, 2006
Like a lot of non-studio quality equipment, this ring is an improvement on the original: instead of having screws and bare metal on the inside of the ring, it has padding. If you are going to do Pilates exercises with feet and ankles on the inside of the ring, you need one more like this.
The video is good for the exercises--it had things I had not learned in my professional teacher training course. However, don't plan on watching it more than once, unless you like cable access production values.

I am disappointed with the handles on the ring. they are very hard. I am used to soft rubber handles, like I use in our gym..

Compared to other magic circles I priced, the highest at $59(!), this is a good value.
The video demonstrates the exercises adequately enough, but set your expectations low. It does not meet the production standards of bigger name competitors: Gaiam, The Firm, Turbo Jam, etc...
Obviously shot on video, the copy I received contains poor resolution and jumps throughout. It is servicable for people like me, who only need to see the exercises demonstrated once. It is not intended for use as a classroom-style workout.

Seems well made..I think I can use this better than weights..more isometric. I only gave 4 stars because I wish it had a booklet or chart with excercises..you have to watch video..which would be ok for most I guess. Anyway, I don't think I wasted my money.
