This a great work out and after doing pilates consistently for a few months, I was noticeably more muscular. The only thing I would suggest is that you become proficient at the 20 minute basics work out before attempting this work out, as you do need a level of experience with pilates mat work to be able to complete all of the exercises.

I have purchased this item in hopes of getting back in shape after having a baby and taking a 2-year hiatus from exercizing. I just tried it and was very disappointed - while it started nice, the whole last third of the workout is way too hard for me (and I defy any TRUE beginner to fare better than me), to the point where I can't follow it at all. Which significantly shortens an already short workout and is disappointing - I felt up for a few more exercises I actually could do, and instead I found myself struggling (and failing) to do the teasers. The modifier hardly helps a true beginner with weak abs who is only looking to build them. I'm also guessing it will take me longer than a week or two to build up to the level where I can do the entire length as it needs to be done. In the meantime, I get a supershort workout and a lot of frustration. Perhaps a great video for someone with already strong abs who's looking for more definition or simply a new routine to add variety, but not so great for someone like me.

From all the Winsor DVD's this one is by far the most effective and my favorite. This video is approximately 20 minute long and focuses solely on ab or the "core" muscles. I have never had stronger and more defined abs! I love my mid section now, because of this video. I have been doing the Winsor pilates videos for about 4 months, and I've lost weight, toned my muscles, and have fun every time I excercise.
This is working. September 5, 2005 I used this DVD the day it arrived and have used it several times since. Each time I feel my abs becoming a little tighter. Mari's instructions are very clear.

If you are press for time and want to tone your abs, this is the one for you. It's a bit difficult for beginners but there is a modifier that will show you how to make the move easier. the video is approx 18mins long. I always feel my abs burn after each workout. Above all, i'm beginning to see definition on my abs
