So far, it's great! June 21, 2008 After reading the other reviews posted here, I ordered this bike on 6/18 and received it on 6/20 (today!). Put it together easily in 1/2 hour, and put the first 2 miles on it - at level 8 - in another 10 minutes. I was looking for an indoor cycle I can use after I have surgery which will prevent me from cycling outside for a few months. Also wanted something to ride in the winter when it's too cold and snowy outside. I can not only ride this bike as fast or as slow as I like, but I'll be able to hold a book or watch a movie and still be cyclin'! Level 8 is perfect, with just enough resistance to make me work at it. I can pedal my little heart out and work up a sweat or take it easy and still feel it. I found the seat to be well padded and comfortable. Not for the hard-core cyclist, but for someone just starting out - or with a need like mine - it's a nice unit.
Decent little exercise bike June 4, 2008 It does what it is advertised to do -- it is a compact exercise bike (it is not appropriate for a tall person ... my wife is the prime user). It doesn't fold much at all so that little claim is not too good but it has a good range of exercise and it isn't too bad to put together (although I found the directions a bit confusing).
Great bike! June 3, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This bike was easy to assemble and is solidly constructed. The magnetic resistance is sufficent for all but the extreme exerciser. The seat is comfortable so no need to buy the recommended gel seat that did not fit anyway. I highly recommend this bike.
Not good for fit people May 29, 2008 The tension on this bike (1-8) does not go high enough for me to get a good workout. I like to do interval training, but this will only be good for low, slow cardio. Also, my monitor does not work properly, only half the numbers show.
Other than that, the bike seems sturdy and quiet. (But the directions for putting it together reek!) I think the seat is fine, but I got the Sunlite Cloud Nine cover, and it fit perfectly.
A quiet little bike May 21, 2008 The exercise bike arrived within 2 business days, which was a pleasant surprise. The instructions take some time to follow, but the diagrams help a lot. It is surprisingly quiet and built well. I agree with the other reviewers that the pedal radius tends to be small. I am 5'9" and weigh 168lbs. The one problem that stuck out right away was the tension settings. Even at the highest tension setting (8), I was able to pedal without much effort. If you work out regularly, this bike may not provide the tension you're looking for. But for casual fitness fans this bike fits the bill just fine.
