5 out of 5 stars Much Better Than Originals...   August 17, 2008
I bought a used Schwinn Airdyne Exercise bike and it came with the regular, bicycle type, pedals. My foot would slip off or I would have to constantly adjust my foot position while I was working out. These new pedals hold my shoes in place and I'm able to ride without slippage... They really make a difference... I love them!

4 out of 5 stars Bicycle Pedals   August 1, 2008
I purchased these pedals at the time I purchased a Schwinn Airdyne bicycle and glad I did so. The pedals that came with the Airdyne were small and very narrow. These pedals being wider and having an adjustable strap were a huge improvement. They are however a bit difficult to adjust.

I would still recommend these pedals as replacements to anyone.

5 out of 5 stars No More Slipping   July 27, 2008
Before purchasing these pedals, my feet would slip off the pedals when I started getting up some speed. Now I can continue my workout without constantly starting and stopping.

5 out of 5 stars Better than I expected though still costly   May 8, 2008
First, these went on my Stamina 15-0200 InTone Folding Recumbent Bike (which suddenly got more expensive - should be closwer to $140 as it was when I bought it) and fit okay (I thought they were too small at first, but then I tried re-installing the original pedals and they fit exactly the same).

The original pedals were horrible in most any way that mattered:
(1) too small (in the toe-to-heel direction)
(2) too narrow (for the width of my foot)
(3) no strap over the foot
(4) light grinding feeling when spun (but hardly noticeable while riding)

The Schwinn's are excellent in comparison:
(1) Quite wide (plenty wide for my 4E width feet)
(2) highly adjustable - the strap can attach at two different widths in addition to having many different length adjustments on each side
(3) smooth spin (not perfect, but clearly functional)
(4) nice groove in the middle for barefoot pedaling (probably makes no difference with shoes on though).

The only downside is that while barefoot, the angle of the back of the pedal makes it easy to force your toes out (away from the bike) and your heels in (toward the bike). This probably isn't great for your knees over time, but there are also advantages to having this angle so not a serious complaint.

Something to consider - especially with the Stamina 15-0200:
The pedals are "tall" in that they reach close to the floor as you pedal past 6:00 - I had to bend the long side of the strap into the bottom of the pedal to prevent it from rubbing the carpet during each rotation. Overall though, not a problem since you can easily adjust them.

I say get them! Anything that keeps you on the bike!

5 out of 5 stars Big enough for sneakers   March 3, 2008
I purchaed these to replace a pair that wore out on my stationary exercise bike. They are better than expected because they are wide enough to accommodate my feet in sneakers, which the original equipment could not do.
