Foam Roller Rules! June 11, 2008 I used a foam roller at the gym and decided to get one for home. This product is excellent - high-density foam with a nice washable cover. I would highly recommend it if you want to do the same gym or pilates stretches at home.
It's a piece of foam June 9, 2008 Like the title says, it's just a piece of foam. I think I paid around $30 for this, and I'm guessing it's mainly for the nice cloth cover over the foam. The product works as described. It does feel like a massage. However, I think the cover is pretty worthless, and you should just buy the foam if it costs less than this outfit. The cover makes it very slippery, so it makes it near impossible to use on carpet alone. I tried a yoga mat, but it's still slightly slippery, though more tolerable. Regardless, I'm happy with it because I feel it really does help my back.
For athletes or more fit folks May 6, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I had to rate a three, I'd like to rat a 1 because I hate it, havent' used it and should have returned it. But in fairness of reviews, it is a good product, the cover is nice, and the price is ok, but it is Firm, way to firm for what I needed, this is for someone more advance stretching, I am a beginner with too many aches/pains and ended up order a softer one from another company, I did keep this hoping I could work my way into it.
Worked for me April 29, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What can you say about an inanimate tube of plastic in a cloth wrap? Quality of the product seems fine and it worked out the knots just like the ones in the gym.
Expensive for quality April 24, 2008 I ordered the hugger mugger foam roller, and when it arrived the foam was not great quality. The cover was pretty, but not what I wanted. It also wasn't as big around as I wanted. I had gotten another roller for $8 on line, and it was about the same but with a fancy cover. It was $30. By shopping around in athletic stores, I found an excellent quality, larger roller for $24.
