Bongo Board Review August 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A very good product for honing balance. Good for skiers, snowboarders, martial artists, and other sportsmen.
Bongo Board August 12, 2008 My sons really enjoy this product. Easy to store, high quality. The only worry is the weight limit, it is not listed in the book, and afraid some parents could break it. Other than that, it's very fun, as good as any other balance boards we have seen.
Skater's point of view March 6, 2008 First off, I started skateboarding around 1985 and I've been on and off since 1991 when I destroyed my ACL. I've had 3 consecutive replacements and I needed a therapy tool that would help me workout my knee and ankles to increase my rate of recovery and overall balance given the lapse of time between surgeries and inactivity. I purchased the bongo board roughly a month ago and use it when I'm at work in my cubical. It works great in regards to restrengthening your knee ligaments, weak ankles due to years of skating in high tops, and also gives you greater balance depending on how you position it and the type of floor you are using it on. Carpet works well to keep the roller in place for manuals (putting the roller either to far left or right) and smooth concrete works greatest for railslide balance as the roller has less resistance without the carpet. I recommend this product but I wish the board was more like a 7-8 ply deck. I was using it outside on my back porch which is made of bricks and the nose dug into one of the brick's edges. A regular deck you either scrape or have a minor dig on the end but the bongo deck chipped pretty badly. Hopefully they will use a blank skate deck for the wood in the future.
Fun and convenient way to burn calories January 19, 2008 The Bongo Board is a convenient way to burn calories, and if you have a few minutes, why not get on the bongo board instead of plopping on the couch! Enjoying ours!
Bongo Board January 8, 2008 I am very happy with my bongo board. It's challenging and a great workout for your core. I'm going to try snowboarding for the first time in a few weeks, and I hope it helps me.
