Intermediate workout January 8, 2009 This is a follow along -type cardio workout using one kettlebell. The workout consists of three circuits, and the circuits are comprised of rounds of exercise done with 30 seconds of rest between circuits. Every circuit in the workout is different, although they contain the same exercises. The exercises came in different order in each circuit, and they are combined differently in rounds in every circuit. This adds variety to the workout, but on the other hand, it would be clearer if every circuit would be the same. The workout comprises of some basic exercises used in the first workout of the series, and there are some new exercises added.
Between the rounds there is a rest period of 30 seconds. There is a time counter to show how much time the rest period has left. Also, there is some brief instructions on how to perform the exercises used in the next round.
There is a separate instructions section in the film, where they teach some of the exercises used in the workout. Not all of the exercises are instructed, however, and they are briefly touched upon before the round starts they are used in. This in turn lengthens the rest period, and can get annoying with repeat use.
During the workout, the instructor occasionally forgets to mention how many repetitions each exercise is done in the round. This is somewhat annoying, and as the rep range varies from one exercise to the next, you just cannot guess the number of reps used.
In my opinion, this workout is the most demanding of the three films in the series, being suitable for intermediate trainers. This is mostly due to the fact that there are some exercises that are somewhat demanding technically to perform, and there are few somewhat hard exercise combinations in the workout.
Just fast forward November 14, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great video. I also own Vol. 1 and rotate between them. My only complaint involves the 30 sec. breaks between EVERY exercise. Unless you are a workout novice, this will just annoy you. Now that I have the hang of the moves I just keep the remote by my kettlebell and fast forward between most of the moves...much better workout and saves time!

This is a good video for a beginner. I prefer something faster paced, with breaks between a set of exercises instead of between every exercise.
Every bit as good as Iron Core Vol 1 October 24, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great, professionally produced DVD of kettlebell techniques by Iron Core Fitness. The exercises are demonstrated with detail and an exercise circuit is demonstated with 30 second rests between exercises. The circuit is looped so you can do several circuits without having to "rewind". I own Volume 1 and 2 and it is worth the price. The workout is fantastic.
